Yesterday I had the privilege of attending another author event at the Longview Public Library. This time is was the Local Author Bookfest/Workshop. A handful of authors, myself included, met and conducted a workshop to inspire others and to answer questions about writing and getting published. So many of us who are writers and want to get published, whether it's a children's book, short story, novel, or our poetry, usually start out saying, "I have all these ideas, but I don't know where to start." OR..."I've got it in here(head), but I don't know how to get it here(on paper)." Hopefully, those who attended the workshop were inspired and learned a lot about what to do and what not to do.
I had SO much fun at this event! It was over at 1:00, but I was so hoping we could keep going. However, we had to give up the room as it was schedule for someone else after us. Oh well...another time! I think Mr. Edwards is planning on another event such as this one in October. I hope I am able to make it.
I got to act out a skit to my book The Kitty with the Itty-Bitty Tail in front of our audience which included as many kids as we could gather.
Here are some pics from the event. MEOW!
